just from the forecasts I've looked at it looks like there is going to be zero westerly wind... most will be North or East...

So to me it looks like Kalama or coastal for Friday Afternoon...

Try the coast? Ft. Stevens maybe, but most likely southern coast, Floras Lake area.

A bit early but it seems like there could be potential for Jones again (looking at the spread in the KEL-AST FX)
weatherunderground:
KELSO "Friday
Overcast in the morning, then partly cloudy. High of 84F. Winds from the NW at 5 to 15 mph shifting to the WSW in the afternoon."
ASTORIA " Friday
Overcast in the morning, then mostly cloudy. High of 72F. Winds from the NNW at 5 to 15 mph."

12 degree spead, 9M kites, maybe 12M

Yah it's still early for forecasts.

I'll probably head to Jones... sit on the beach and wait for it to swing around. if it doesn't by 4pm head to Ft. Stevens and get a sesh in.

that sounds like a winner of a plan. If it goes big east, lets rally up some folks for a dalton downwinder.

Hey guys - I'm just a noob, still learning, and don't know the sites all that well yet. But I've got a fair bit of experience with wind (work related).

I'm thinking Jones is probably going to be no good on Friday - pressure gradient is looking to be the wrong direction. The coast is looking good for northerlies, on the other hand.

I'll go out on a limb and say that Sauvie has a decent chance.

So there's your unsolicited and probably incompetent forecast. Probably not worth the electrons used to post it.

Jones is fun to guess... usually even the day before can be wrong. first time out it looked like it was going to be a easterly gradient and 5degree diff. ended up being a 10degree and a W 0.8 nuking 6m weather...

but I'd be down for any downwinder or postal on the coastal or downwinder on the coastal..
